Detective mode is live on DialectGuessr
Detective shipped today. It is the fourth play mode on DialectGuessr and joins Classic, the daily puzzle and Elimination on the same map and question bank.
What Detective adds
Each round, a stranger says four short lines. One dialect feature hides in each line. It might be a vocabulary split or a pronunciation tell. You name it to shrink the map before pinning their hometown.
It is the speech-first version of the deduction loop Elimination already uses. You read the evidence first, then make your call.
Where it sits in the lineup
Classic asks you to pin a speaker from their answers. The daily puzzle fixes one shared board per day. Elimination hides a region and lets you rule accents off the map. Detective hides the speaker behind spoken lines instead.
Try it
Detective is free and needs no account. If you have not taken the accent quiz yet, start there. The feature names land faster once you have seen the question bank.
